The Krangruvan Water Wheel

Construction and Function:
The Krangruvan water wheel was built in 1862 and was a very robust wheel, playing an important role in draining nearby mines.

Fire and Subsequent Events:
In 1888, the wheel was damaged by a fire. The extent of the damage is unclear. According to the Relationer, the wheel was repaired, but in the Memorial Writing of Persbergs Gruve Aktiebolag 1866–1920, it is stated that a new wheel was built north of Krangruvan in 1888.

Note:
It is possible that a new wheel was constructed, but the wheel pit likely remained the same.
