
The wheel pit in the photo belongs to the hoist wheel, while the wheel pit of the overshot waterwheel is a few meters to the east.
This is probably the most impressive wheel pit in the area, built in very rocky terrain, challenging for construction.
Landowner E.J. Jansson declared that the land rights to this and several other mines had already been transferred to Nyhytte Constructions and Mining Company through the following agreement. Jansson, reserving 20 shares or 1/5 of the company, relinquishes and grants:

All mines located on Jansson’s property (25/128 of the Nyhyttan farm)
Rights to damming of both Trehörningskärnarna and necessary land on Jansson’s Nyhyttan property. This includes dam construction, canalization, building of the power house with hoist and auxiliary power according to Master Builder Nilsson’s plans, as well as necessary roads and areas for mining operations.
Jansson and his heirs are exempt from costs for these installations until the power is delivered to Krangrufvan (13 shares).
For every hundredweight of ore from the company’s mines, Jansson receives two öre.
Land within Kallkällsgrufvan’s claim required for mining is compensated at 70 Rdr per tunnland.
Disputes about registration or claims may be appealed to the Mining Board, other matters to the Färnebo District Court.
