The waterwheel was built 121 meters southwest of the outlet of Gubbdammen. Today, there are no visible traces of the wheel pit, so its exact location cannot be determined.
On the western bank, a little downstream from the railway, there is a stone formation likely from one of the many waterwheels that have existed in the river.
According to the Reports on the Mines of Filipstad Bergslag, Lindbergshagegruvan received mechanical power from the wheel in 1852.
It is unclear from the reports when Jordåsgruvan started using the wheel for its power supply.
