My attempts to find information about the engine house have so far produced no results. It would be very interesting to determine what type of power source was used to operate the installation.
On the large concrete foundation there was most likely either a steam engine or a hot-bulb engine installed. I hope that by studying the bolt pattern on the foundation it will be possible to determine what type of engine once stood there.
Recently I have made some progress. It may have been a hot-bulb engine of the Avance type R1, manufactured in Stockholm by J.V. Svensson Motorfabrik.
If you are interested in hot-bulb engines, you can find interesting reading by following the link below.
Vegetation had taken over the foundation of the engine house. During the past summer we removed trees and bushes in order to possibly determine which machines were present and where they were positioned in the installation.
However, large trees have large roots, so uncovering the foundations is a time-consuming task.
